My reseach is mainly on developing the drug-induced premature condensed chromosome (PCC) technique and its application in many area of cytogenetics. The drugs used here are Calyculin A, Okadaic acid or other inhibitors (Cantharidin, Tautomycin, Mycrocystin LR) of protein phosphatases. This technique allows the interphase nuclei to be visualized like as metaphase chromosomes. Therefore, it is able to analyze the nuclei as chromosome form.
Listed the below are papers which related on my work,in particular on drug induced PCC, and my papers cited in these papers.
This Graph shows the Number of published Papers that use or apply the drug-induced PCC technique, and shows the cited times (primary or secondary citation) of my published papers since I published my first drug-induced PCC phenomenon using phosphatase inhibitors, okadaic acid or calyculin A ( Gotoh et al., Biomedical Research 1995 Jan;16(1):63-68. [Gotoh 1995] ). It cleary shows how a lot of these published articles were inspired by my first report [Gotoh 1995] .
